Here we list some museums, sights and tourist places that you can visit when you go to Valencia.

The City of the Arts and Sciences


This amazing place has become one of the main attractions; it receives about 4 million of tourists every year, this complex of buildings is formed by four main structures:
  • L'Hemisferic.- This museum shows science and technology, it is a first class museum where interactive expositions are shown. The famous IMAX cinema is also found here.
  • Museo de las Ciencias Principe Felipe.- It has the form of a dinosaur; in this museum are often exhibited technological equipments.
  • L'Oceanografic.- It is a lovely place to visit with your kids. Over 45.000 marine species are exhibited here. This aquarium is the biggest in Europe,
  • Palacio de las Artes.- It was dedicated to the queen Sofia. It has auditoriums where opera and music are play performed.

El Carmen


El Barrio del Carmen, it is the most historical valuable zone in the city. El Carmen is home of interesting attractions such as Torres de Serrano and Torres de Quart.



Cathedral


Is one of the most symbolic monuments in the city and is worldwide known. It has been the home of the mythical Holy Grail by the last 500 years. Its famous "El Miguelete", a tower from the 14th century from which all the city can be appreciate is other of its attractions.



Silk Exchange (Lonja de la Seda)


It is also called "Lonja de los Mercaderes", it is a master piece of the gothic art and one of the most emblematic buildings in the city, this building symbolizes the progress and welt of Valencia in the XV century. Since the year 1996 is considered as a human patrimony by UNESCO, in fact is the unique urban building that has this honor.



Plaza de la Virgen


It is well situated in the city centre, "La Plaza de la Virgen" is one of the most known and visited places, without any doubt, it is obligatory to visit this place for any tourist. This place is not beautiful just because its esthetics, it is also beautiful for the buildings that are surrounding it.



Torres de Serranos


"Las Torres de Serranos" are one of the most important monuments, they were considered a power symbol and remind walled urban style of the city in the medieval and Christian epoch.



The Botanic Garden


The Botanic garden of Valencia has centuries of tradition, it lodges about three thousand species of trees and plants which were brought from distinct parts of the world. Among this natural treasure they highlight the collection of palm trees and tropical- trees, cactus and another plants from the desert.
